Seeking a senior business development lead to drive commercial growth and deepen client relationships across the Bermuda reinsurance market. Working alongside our global consultancy and risk advisory practice, you will be the primary point of contact on island, connecting decision-makers at local reinsurers with our technical capabilities and actuarial services.
This is an individual contributor role with a high degree of autonomy, best suited for someone familiar with the local market.
Responsibilities
Identify and convert originations opportunities across Bermuda-based P&C reinsurers
Act as the local presence on island, building long-term relationships with executives, Chief Actuaries, and Risk Officers
Identify high-value client challenges, pairing the appropriate internal subject matter experts to design and deliver solutions
Shape go-to-market strategies for advisory services, with a heavy emphasis on actuarial, risk transfer, and capital management solutions
Qualifications
Based in Bermuda
Demonstrable track record with within or alongside the Bermuda reinsurance sector
Deep functional understanding of actuarial concepts and services. Direct experience as an actuary is strongly preferred
A background in origination, client relationship management, and/or strategic advisory within re/insurance
Strong communication skills in technical conversations with executive leadership
High degree of independence and autonomy in lead generation, communication, and workflow

A global consulting practice is seeking a senior actuary to own a range of P&C reinsurance projects. The ideal candidate is experienced in advanced modeling, data science, and actuarial modernization. Projects may include applications in pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and alternative risk transfer, but the role will primarily focus on the specific interests and expertise of the candidate. This role is based in Bermuda but can be performed remote from the US.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and review models and deliverables for reinsurance clients.
Projects include pricing and portfolio analytics, capital modeling, reserve reviews, regulatory compliance.
Perform M&A due diligence, including review of pricing models, loss ratio projections, and reserve adequacy.
Embed actuarial modernization and transformation into client projects across a variety of systems, data architectures, and software.
Build database queries, automation scripts, and analytical workflows to process complex insurance data sets.
Translate client project requirements into functional models, documentation, and technical presentations.
QualificationsACAS designation or above, or international equivalent
7+ years of P&C actuarial experience, with 5+ years in the reinsurance market
Fluency in statistical languages including SQL and Python/R/SAS
Experience with building and articulating actuarial models including GLMs, GBMs, and other ML methods in an actuarial context
Familiarity with data architecture and database management systems
Preferred
Based in Bermuda
Experience in client-facing project delivery
Familiarity with common proprietary actuarial software
Familiarity with actuarial applications of generative AI
A range of P&C experience across pricing, reserving, and capital modeling
Experience with financial models including capital allocation and time series
Familiarity with the Bermuda re/insurance market and local BMA frameworks

Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced P&C actuary to join our consulting team as an Actuarial Consultant – Pricing Principal. This is a client-facing role that will own approximately 3–5 key client projects involving actuarial modeling, pricing, rate review, and multi-state filings. This position provides a high degree of independence, growth, variety, and travel, with generous compensation to match.
What You'll Do
Manage multiple ongoing pricing projects for key clients.
Serve as the project manager and actuarial contact for clients.
Lead or advise on pricing analyses, modeling projects, and rate filings.
Oversee scope, timelines, deliverables, and communication with clients and internal team members.
Review the work of other actuaries and analysts and provide technical direction where needed.
Present actuarial findings and recommendations to clients.
Travel to client offices, with 50%+ travel during high volume seasons
Requirements
Must Have:
P&C consulting experience including project management and ownership.
Experience with large contracts and extended project durations up to 18 months.
Strong understanding of US regulatory and filing system.
Exposure to and ability to discuss P&C pricing projects and actuarial models.
Strong communication skills, particularly the delivery of actuarial findings and technical results.
Experience with independent and travel-based work

Responsibilities
Core Reserving: Manage quarterly and annual loss reserve reviews for regional commercial and specialty line clients.
ResQ/Arius Modeling: Hands-on execution of traditional reserving methods on existing client models and new construction.
Data Reconciliation: Use SQL to query databases and validate client data extracts against financial statements. Responsible for investigating data anomalies or shifts in claim reporting patterns before modeling begins.
Client Presentation: Serve as the day-to-day contact for accounts. Responsibilities include presenting ultimate loss estimates directly to client management and handling technical communication with external auditors during year-end.
SAO Documentation: Draft formal actuarial reports and opinion memos required for Statements of Actuarial Opinion.
Team Collaboration: Peer review work and provide daily guidance to 1-2 junior analysts assisting on projects. The role also involves occasional collaboration with pricing and predictive analytics teams on cross-functional accounts.
Process Evolution: Contributes to modernizing standard workflows including automation and implementation of machine learning for individual claim modeling.
Qualifications
Required
6+ years of P&C actuarial experience, heavily focused on loss reserving or financial reporting
ACAS designation or higher
Prior experience utilizing ResQ, Arius, or an equivalent corporate reserving suite
Extensive experience with SQL and interaction with data warehouses
Experience presenting actuarial findings to corporate clients or senior leadership
Ability to work out of our Greater Philadelphia office on a hybrid schedule
Preferred:
FCAS designation
Prior experience in an actuarial consulting environment managing multiple external accounts
Practical familiarity with Python or R for automating workflow tasks an ad hoc analysis
Interest or educational exposure to machine learning applications within a reserving context
