The ideal candidate is pre-ACAS with two to five years of experience in P&C lines and exposure to reinsurance pricing. Familiarity with VBA and Python is required, with a strong preference for candidates comfortable working in SQL.
This role may be adjusted upward in title and salary for a similar ACAS candidate with additional experience. -

Job Description
A major carrier is seeking a P&C pricing actuary with experience in advanced ratemaking, product management, and filing support. Responsibilities for the role will include:
Inheriting, owning, and enhancing a major personal lines P&C product, including
Advanced modeling such as territorial clustering and GLM ratemaking
Filing, exhibit, and objection support
Product indication and forecasting
Partnering with underwriting, claims, and product departments on product development
Contributing to departmental reporting and automation
Developing departmental tools, pricing models, and ad hoc analyses
Qualifications
Candidate requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an actuarial, quantitative, or otherwise related field
ACAS credentials
Prior experience in ratemaking and rate filing on admitted P&C lines
Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R
Additional preferences:
Experience with advanced ratemaking models including GLMs, GAMs, and/or spatial smoothing.
Proficiency in VBA

Job Description
A major insurance software company is seeking an Actuarial Pricing Consultant and Senior Actuarial Manager for the formation of a new domestic team. Responsibilities are primarily focused on management and delivery of P&C pricing projects using proprietary software. This may include:
Up to 30% travel to US client locations
Complete project ownership including communication with and delivery to client c-suite
Rate setting, new product pricing, profitability forecasting, and filing support
Independent project management in a remote setting
This role can be filled at a range of experience and responsibility. Compensation will be generously commensurate with candidate qualification and expected travel, and will be available early in the interview process.
Qualifications
This role is available at multiple levels. The Actuarial Pricing Consultant should meet the following qualifications:
3+ years of experience in P&C pricing and/or consulting
ACAS or near-ACAS
Prior experience with data architecture and/or pricing software
Prior experience with client-facing and/or leadership roles
The Actuarial Pricing Manager should meet the following qualifications:
5+ years of experience in P&C pricing and/or consulting
FCAS or near-FCAS
Prior experience in leadership and project management roles
Prior experience with advanced ratemaking techniques
